April Forecast and a Tribute to the Sun and the Moon

TTHE SUN My Main Energy Source
(ESSENCE
)

The fire that gives rise to all of my dreams
The spirit that sets my consciousness free
The love in my heart that makes the world sing
Are all rays of light from an internal spring

The Sun is the central symbol in my chart. The energy of the astrological Sun shines through me, just as its larger version in the sky radiates its light and warmth throughout the solar system. Too much light and warmth and the rays of the Sun start to burn; too little and all begins to fade from brilliance.

The Sun represents the purpose in life I came here to fulfill. It is a symbol of the essential energy I am here to share with the world. I use the unlimited potential of the Sun's energy according to my heart's desire. When I am being true to who I am, my Sun is in full operation.

THE MOON My Capacity to Receive
(PERSONALITY)

The Moon is a shimmering mistress of night
Her silvery glow reflects gold solar light
She shows many faces; her magical pull
While going through phases is strongest when full

I use the energy of my astrological Moon to respond to my environment and hold on to what it has to offer me. The Moon represents all that supports me in becoming grounded in the material world. The Moon indicates the nature of the personality I am building; it is the composite effect of all the feelings I have ever had. It is through the Moon's receptive function that I can build up a personal memory bank;an emotional frame of reference that makes it possible for me to open up and experience life while still feeling safe in my skin. I use the Moon's energy to take care of and nourish my inner being. The Moon is the most powerful planet during my younger years. It is like a cocoon that holds the solar light in reserve.

After I have spent three decades living on the earth, the Sun--the spark of divinity the universe gives to me and lets me call my own--can then be the most powerful, although many of us stay principally in receiving mode (the Moon) rather than switch our emphasis to our giving mode (the Sun).

When my Sun gains prominence over my Moon, I then have the opportunity to free my spirit, discover my genuine value and decide how I wish to share it with the world.

MERCURY Thinking and Communicating
(IDEAS)

My ideas tend to materialize
When I think that they can
As I give them more attention
All will show up as planned

My Mercury operates through the mind, collecting and connecting a perpetual flow of data. Reporting on the passing scene and eager to make sense of everything, my Mercury's main task is to keep pumping for information until the fact of the matter is defined. I use the energy of Mercury to focus my mental processes on the present and view the world at face value. Rapidly shifting from one viewpoint to another, I can work with Mercury to turn raw mind power into a facile tool of intelligence, shaping ideas and using language to convert my perceptions and make them into a solid reality.

My Mercury is the servant of my ego*.

Existing purely in the mind and committed to proving that it is complete control, my ego figures out how to use every experience to its advantage and have the last word.

Mercury represents the trickster, if I become caught up in the shallow gloss of appearances, unable to separate truth from illusion. Playing middleman is Mercury's most effective role, where I compare the variables and give equal time to all considerations.

*The ego protects a person's identity from being overrun by other identities. The ego may overcompensate for this by seeking power and authority over others.
